The student offer, in plain language
- Who it's for. Current undergraduates and graduates. We'll ask for a quick confirmation of your student or graduate status: a student ID, an enrollment or graduation email, or a .edu/.ac address is plenty.
- What's waived. The one-time build fee (normally $99) is waived in full. Your only obligation is the $15/month hosting fee, which covers hosting, SSL, backups, your domain name, unlimited small edits and one content refresh a month. Because the build fee is waived, the free first month offered on the standard plan doesn't apply here; student hosting is payable from the first month.
- Which sites qualify. This offer applies to portfolio and CV/résumé sites only. Business sites, online stores and other bespoke projects are priced as usual, so just ask and we'll quote them for you.
- Free preview, no obligation. As with every ichdu site, we build your preview before you pay anything. If it isn't right, you walk away owing us nothing.
- Everything stays yours. Your domain is registered in your name and your site is yours. Cancel the monthly hosting whenever you like.
- Transfer rules still apply. If you decide to leave, our standard transfer rules apply: we send your transfer code and a copy of your website files, normally within one business day and with no fee from us. Your new registrar's fees and the usual registrar rules (such as the 60-day transfer lock on newly registered domains) still apply. See our Terms for the full detail.
